Development Description
North Road improvement and Road Infrastructure Project The proposed development will consist of the following: • Construction of 250m of access road with 2 lane 7.5m wide roadway with 4m verge, 2m wide footway and 2m wide cycleway to each side of the road. • Construction of a signalised junction on the Stephenstown Link Road with south bound right turning lane, north bound left turning lane, and signalised crossing provision for non-motorised users. • Construction of 500m of access road with 2 lane,7.5m wide roadway with 4m grass verge, 2m wide footway and 2m wide cycleway to each side of the road. • Construction of a two-lane cycle friendly roundabout on the L1390 at the junction with Flemington Lane, incorporating 210m of two-lane entry and exits with signalised pedestrian and cycle crossings on each arm. • Construction of 60m of dual carriageway with cycleway and footways to each side of the road. • Construction of mini roundabout turning areas at the end of access roads. • Active travel Shared surface link between the two new access roads. • Upgraded shared surface link along White Hart Road for 225m from its junction with the L1390. • Construction of section of shared surface with no vehicular access from the junction of Clonard Hill and White Hart Road for 120m. • Repurposing of 250m of Clonard Street and 100m of White Hart Lane to shared street catering for all motorised and non-motorised transport. • Construction of four bus stops with Bus Shelters, two located on Stephenstown Link Road and two located on the L1390. • Surface water drainage infrastructure including three detention basins/swales and edge of roadway swales to proposed access roads. • Construction of public lighting on new access roads and upgrade/alterations as required at new junctions. • Landscaping to all the above proposed infrastructure, inclusive of localised screen mounding. • Utility diversions, installations, signage, street furniture, boundary treatment and site works.
