Development Description

1) demolition of existing adjoining portacabin used as school accommodation and existing structure accommodating accessible shower-room to the side of the school to facilitate proposed works; 2) construction of new part single-storey and part two-storey extension to side (north west) of existing school building to be connected via new single storey link corridor: ground floor accommodation to consist of new SEN unit (3 no. SEN classrooms) with ancillary accommodation and sanitary facilities, multi sensory room, central activity/general purpose room, office/multi purpose room, storage rooms, internal staircase and lobbies, plant room; first floor accommodation to consist of 2 no. ensuite mainstream classrooms and storage room; 3) minor alterations to existing elevations and floor plans of existing school building to facilitate purposed works; 4) demolition of existing boundary wall on site to facilitate the construction of new extension; 5) alteration to existing northern vehicular site access and alteration to front road boundary consisting of the construction of new boundary wall to be set back from road edge to include new footway and parking areas to the north east of the site; 6) construction of new parking area within the site to the north; 7) construction of new boundary wall to the north and north-west of the site to tie in with the existing eastern boundary wall on site; 8) installation of new covered bicycle stand; 9) alterations to existing play ground areas to facilitate works and construction of new enclosed hard standing play area to south west of the existing school building; 10) construction of a new enclosed sensory garden (2m high fencing); 11) installation of new enclosed (1.8 high fencing) LPG tank to serve to school; 12) removal of existing waste water treatment system on site and installation of new proposed packaged waste water treatment system and associated new raised sand polishing filter, 13) removal of 3 no. existing temporary prefab units at completion of the works and, 14) all associated ancillary development works included drainage works on site.
