We, Fenor Pig Farms Ltd., intend to apply for planning permission for development at Fenor Pig Farm, Matthewstown, Fenor, County Waterford(within the townland of Matthewstown), on a site of approximately 18.75 hectares. The proposed development will consist of the expansion, upgrade and modernisation of an existing EPA licensed pig rearing installation (Licence Ref. P0410-01) as follows: • Construction of 1 no. single-storey pig fattening house (Building 511, maximum height c. 4.5m above ground level) with a gross floor area of approximately 3,763 m² (approximately 106m in length × 35.5m in width overall, including covered walkway), including associated feed storage silos, accommodating approximately 3,698 production pigs; • Provision of roof structures to existing whey storage tanks (Area 802) with a maximum height of approximately 5.93m to 8.99m above ground level; • Decommissioning of the existing open slurry lagoon (Structure 955), including emptying and removal of the existing concrete structure, reinstatement of suitable excavated material on site and removal of any contaminated material, and the construction of 2 no. covered overground slurry storage tanks, comprising: o 1 no. tank (Structure 951) with a capacity of approximately 5,236m³ and an overall height of approximately 7.3m above ground level; and o 1 no. tank (Structure 963) with a capacity of approximately 1,428m³and an overall height of approximately 6.0m above ground level; • Provision of 1 no. single-storey dry store building with a floor area of approximately 531 m² and an overall height of approximately 9.83m above ground level; • Provision of a truck wash and wheel wash facility, including associated drainage infrastructure, silt trap and hydrocarbon interceptor; • Installation of slurry handling infrastructure serving the proposed pig fattening house (Building 511), including automatic scraper systems, channels, pumps, sumps and abstraction points; • Implementation of emission control measures, including the upgrade and conversion of Buildings 503–510 from natural to mechanical ventilation and modifications to ventilation infrastructure, including an increase in stack height at Building 204; • Installation of 3 no. new monitoring boreholes and 1 no. new on-site groundwater abstraction (production) well; • Provision of ancillary infrastructure including covered whey storage tanks, a designated carcass storage and collection area incorporating sealed andand cov
