Development Description
The Planning Application will consist of; (i) to provide, (a) a modern, well-designed 2-storey frontage extension incorporating standalone new build to the established care home facility, comprising a total of 25 additional bedrooms with ancillary accommodation (dining, administration, clinical rooms, sitting out areas, utility areas), and including a glazed connecting canopy. The 25 bedrooms are exclusively proposed for both post-hospitalized and longer-stay residential care, and will be of significant floor area scale (all above 36 sq.m), with in-bedroom kitchenettes catering, and WC facilities; (ii) amendments to the overall site layout, including (a) removal/relocation of the existing front car parking area and part of the internal access road, (b) provision of a new car parking area with a new section of internal access road, (c) new front landscaping area, attenuation pond, sensory garden.
