3. The Developer shall comply with the following conservation requirements of the Planning Authority: c) Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: i. Revised internal ramp drawings to include a breathable buffer layer to protect the historic surfaces below the proposed ramps. ii. Revised alternative to applied privacy film to glazing to accessible WC / shower room window. The applicant may consider high-quality demountable screen or demi-curtain in lieu of film. iii. A ventilation drawing to show the proposed mechanical ventilation extract route for the shower, any penetrations through historic fabric and the vent terminal with a conservation-appropriate vent cover. iv. Photographic examples of door control / automation devices ensuring that visual impact to historic doors would be limited. Reason: In order to protect the original fabric, character and integrity of the Protected Structure at The Provost’s House, Trinity College Dublin and to ensure that the proposed works are carried out in accordance with best conservation practice.
