DEVELOPMENT ON LANDS WITHIN AND ADJOINING THE PERMITTED LETTERGULL WIND FARM (PLANNING REF. NO. 18/50156, ACP REF. 304685-19) WHICH WILL COMPRISE OF THE PROVISION OF A RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT CONSISTING OF THE FOLLOWING: (1) 1 NO. WIND TURBINE WITH AN OVERALL BLADE TIP HEIGHT OF 135M, ROTOR DIAMETER OF 115M, AND A HUB HEIGHT OF 77.5M, (2) TURBINE FOUNDATION AND ASSOCIATED HARD-STANDING AREAS, (3) TEMPORARY WORKS TO THE EXISTING LETTERGULL WIND FARM SITE ACCESS (AS PERMITTED UNDER PLANNING REF. NO. 18/50156, ACP REF. 304685-19) TO FACILITATE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROPOSED WIND TURBINE CONSISTING OF THE REMOVAL AND REINSTATEMENT OF FENCING AND LANDSCAPING AND TEMPORARY WIDENING OF THE SITE ACCESS JUNCTION, (4) PROVISION OF NEW SITE ACCESS TRACK CONNECTING THE PROPOSED WIND TURBINE TO THE EXISTING INTERNAL LETTERGULL WIND FARM SITE ACCESS TRACKS (AS PERMITTED UNDER PLANNING REF. NO. 18/50156, ACP REF. 304685-19), (5) TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION COMPOUND AND TEMPORARY LAYDOWN AREA, (6) ASSOCIATED UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL AND COMMUNICATIONS CABLING CONNECTING THE PROPOSED WIND TURBINE TO THE PERMITTED ON-SITE 38KV SUBSTATION (AS PERMITTED UNDER PLANNING REF. NO. 18/50156, ACP REF. 304685-19), (7) SITE DRAINAGE, (8) ACCESS GATES, FENCING AND SIGNAGE AND (9) ALL RELATED SITE WORKS ABOVE AND BELOW GROUND AND ALL ANCILLARY DEVELOPMENT. FOLLOWING A THIRTY-YEAR OPERATIONAL LIFE FROM THE DATE OF FULL COMMISSIONING OF THE WIND TURBINE THE PROPOSED WIND TURBINE AND ASSOCIATED UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL AND COMMUNICATIONS CABLING WILL BE DECOMMISSIONED. THE DEVELOPMENT WILL BE ACCESSED VIA THE EXISTING LETTERGULL WIND FARM SITE ENTRANCE ON THE R236 REGIONAL ROAD AND EXISTING INTERNAL LETTERGULL WIND FARM SITE ACCESS TRACKS (AS PERMITTED UNDER PLANNING REF. NO. 18/50156, ACP REF. 304685-19). AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT (EIAR) AND NATURA IMPACT STATEMENT (NIS) ACCOMPANY THIS APPLICATION. THE EIAR AND NIS ASSESS THE FULL EXTENT OF THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AS DESCRIBED IN (1) – (9) ABOVE AS WELL AS THE TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION WORKS TO FACILITATE THE DELIVERY OF TURBINE COMPONENTS FROM THE PORT OF KILLYBEGS TO THE EXISTING SITE ENTRANCE VIA THE NATIONAL (N56, N15 AND N14) REGIONAL (R263 AND R236) PUBLIC ROAD NETWORK IN COUNTY DONEGAL. THE DEVELOPMENT IS COVERED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE (RED III) RENEWABLE ENERGY DIRECTIVE III (DIRECTIVE (EU) 2023/2413)
