A new 16 classroom primary school on the green field site south of the existing Boys School and includes the demolition of the existing Boys School after the new school has been constructed. The proposed school is a split level building, single storey at the entrance level with single storey lower ground level to the south and 2 storeys at the south east corner and includes 6 special education tuition rooms, a general purpose hall, special needs units, library and resource room, ancillary offices and storage areas, 2 external ball courts, external play areas, ancillary landscaping and all site development works. Access will be from Glenfield Road including provision for a new vehicular entrance, 36 car spaces, drop off area, turning area and one disabled parking space, fire tender access and delivery access. Temporary vehicular access during construction will be to the west of the site on adjacent land, the existing wall to Glenfield Road to be temporarily taken down and rebuilt on the project completion. New surface water drainage from the attenuation tank will run from the site of the proposed school through adjacent land to the south to an existing stream at Glenfield Road Kilmallock.
